The Granite Guy Preparation and Disclaimer Form

Thank you so much for choosing The Granite Guy. We appreciate your business. Please take a moment to fill out the form below.

  • MM slash DD slash YYYY
  • YOUR TEMPLATE APPOINTMENT

    • All counter tops will need to be cleared of any obstructions in order to provide the most accurate measurements.
    • Please have all cabinets securely installed in the permanent position and level. After template, cabinets must not move.
    • The Granite Guy uses customer supplied measurements; pricing may change based off accurate measurements.
    • After template and selections are signed off, within a week you will be contacted to schedule installation.
  • YOUR INSTALLATION APPOINTMENT

    • ALL PLUMBING must be completely disconnected prior to installation team arrival. This includes all plumbing connected to sinks and all removal of faucets from the countertops. The granite Guy WILL NOT perform any plumbing work. We recommend having a plumber ready to reconnect all plumbing at least 12 hours (minimum) after installation.
    • Time slot 1 appointments will typically arrive between 8am-2pm. Time slot 2 appointments will typically arrive between 12pm-6pm.
    • Stone can be unpredictable, so delays are possible. We do our best to forecast difficult installs, but some delays will be beyond our control.
    • Final balance is due upon completion of install. Some installs require a return. The Granite Guy will work diligently to complete your project, but the final balance is still required after the initial install. If a credit card or debit card was used to make an initial deposit, it will automatically be used again to process the final payment unless a different payment is chosen.
    • Based upon the size and type of material used, brackets may be necessary. The minimum charge for brackets is $75 each and will be used at the discretion of the installer and based on the need to safely secure the project.
  • SEAMS

The Granite Guy uses the best technology to make your seams as unnoticeable as possible, but no seams are invisible. Seams will be seen and felt. Final seam location is at the discretion of The Granite Guy. Our method in choosing seam locations is two part; do as few seams as possible and be able to transport, install and secondly, preserve your stone as safely as possible. Windows and sunlight make seams more noticeable and seam locations are often required in locations effected by sunlight.

  • NATURE OF STONE

Stone countertops are beautiful polished rocks. Natural variations in the stone occur and enhance the beauty. Fissures, pits, voids, dull spots, textural differences, color variations from slab to slab and thickness variations are not considered defects and will not warrant a remake or discount.

  • RIGHT TO REMEDY

Stone is very unpredictable. The Granite Guy takes great care in building your countertops but occasionally reworks may occur. The Granite Guy has a right to remedy the countertops and complete the installation as agreed upon.

  • FINISH WORK

Occasionally, due to the scope of an install, ‘finish work’ may need to be done. The Granite Guy does not perform finish work. Examples of finish work might include reinstalling trim that had to be removed to complete install, drywall work due to unavoidable damage from installing tops, caulking along walls, any electrical work and all plumbing.
